7th Grade Weekly News, April 14
From the desk of Chris Howell, Assistant Principal
Welcome back from break. It's the final stretch, and students have a full slate of activities until the end of the school year. It is amazing the amount of growth we have seen from our students.
Field Trips
Depending on the team, 7th grade field trips will be April 30 or May 1. Permission slips must be filled out and given to your student's team leader by April 21. HERE is a link to the Permission Slip. They can also be picked up in the second floor office.
Progress Challenge #2:
On behalf of the PBIS committee, we are excited to introduce our next Progress Challenge! Starting this Monday, April 15th and going through Monday, May 20th, we will be tracking attendance data for every team. Each week, we will announce grade level winners and award the trophy based upon the highest percentage of students present in school from the previous week. The overall team winners from each grade level will also be awarded a prize to celebrate their achievement once the Progress Challenge is completed.
What We Need From You:
Please have your student(s) prepared and ready to attend school daily unless they are not medically able to do so. We want to end the year strong and attendance is an essential part of education.
Reminders:
Ms. Joyce, our school social worker, is in need of school supplies, gently used clothing or household supplies to fill the SMS Caring Closet. See flyer below.
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
