I hope the Panther Express (Park Street's Weekly Newsletter) finds you in good health and high spirits. As our staff prepares for a new school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. We are excited to open our doors and embark on a journey of growth together. At Park Street, EVERY CHILD – EVERY DAY – will LEARN * GROW * THRIVE.
We continue to prepare for your return. Teachers have begun preparing their classrooms while continuing to learn about the State of Georgia's new English Language Arts (K-12) standards. They continue to prepare for year two of Wit & Wisdom (K-5 curriculum that embeds rigorous reading instruction with writing, grammar, and cross-curricular knowledge). We are fortunate to continue having Reading Specialists who support our literacy initiatives, as well as ESOL teachers who support English language acquisition for those whose English is not their primary language. We also have Early Intervention teachers (EIP) who support Reading and Mathematics. Along with your child's homeroom teacher, our team of educators will work with your child to create a positive and academically challenging learning environment.
I strongly believe in open and transparent communication, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have throughout the school year. We will continue to provide regular updates via text, email, newsletters, and our school website to keep you informed about important events, academic progress, and any changes to policies or procedures.
