A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear PES community,

Happy April! We have made it to the third and final trimester of the 24-25 school year. This school year has really flown by. With lots of upcoming events for students, please make sure you review the dates in our school newsletter and plan accordingly.

Celebrations! 🥳

Thank you for your participation in parent teacher conferences. We had a great turn out. Our book fair was also a huge success. Purchases at the book fair allow our school library to receive financial benefits, which we put towards purchasing more books for our school library. A special thank you to Mrs. Polizotto for organizing the book fair and Patty McLaughlin for volunteering at the check out register during conferences.

PE Reminder! 👟

Please remember to bring your sneakers to school on Thursdays and Fridays for PE with

Mr. Monroe. Boots and crocs are very dangerous on the gym floor. We do have extra sneakers at PES. If you are in need of a pair, please let us know.

Save the Date! 📆

On Friday, April 18th, we will have a special celebration of arts and music in the morning beginning at drop off and ending around 9:40. Parents/Guardians are invited to join their students, as they rotate through different activities. Students will need to check in with their classroom teachers for attendance before heading to station one. Timely school attendance will be essential on this day. More information to come!

Great Start Reminder! 🏃

Just a reminder that Great Start activities begin at 8:15. Please make sure you drop off at school by this time. Our volunteers begin activities for kids promptly around 8:20, which makes kids coming in late quite challenging. We like to keep our volunteers happy.

Arts and Crafts Club! 🎨

Sarah Mancini will be running an arts and crafts club April 9th through May 21st for students at PES. The club will be on Wednesday mornings from 8:00 to 9:20, and is open to students in grades two through five. The cost of the club is $75, and space is limited to 15 students. Scholarships are available.

Let’s hope for some sunny skies and warmer weather in the future. Thank you for all your continued support!

Best wishes,

Nina Willette, Principal
