Dear Abate families, On behalf of the Administrative team, I would like to wish you a wonderful Holiday season and very Happy New Year

… filled with health, peace and much happiness!

At this time, I'd like to acknowledge the work of our school social workers and counselors who coordinated outside agencies to support our families through the Holidays in various ways. An Abate howl of sincere gratitude goes out to our community partners: NF Firefighters, NF Police Department, St. Johns, Salvation Army, Grandma's Little Helpers, Starline, The Chapel, Cayuga Island Garden Club, Totally Buffalo Cares, Trilogy Physical Therapy, NFHS Girls Basketball Team, LaSalle Alumni Association and a long list of private donations as well to keep that Holiday Spirit alive.

Throughout the New Year, we will continue to keep you informed by: posting information on our Abate Facebook page and webpage, sending home a paper copy of our monthly calendar and lunch menu and will use the All call system for upcoming dates or updates to the calendar by phone or text. If you have a change in contact information/address, please call the Main Office so we can be certain to reach you.

Due to your overwhelming support of our Fall fundraiser, students were able to enjoy exciting classroom challenges/events and Grade level assistance on fieldtrips this Fall. These funds will continue to support future events and programs for your children to include Winter/Spring challenges for students. Our next Parent Group meeting and Family Fun night will be January 28th.

Report Cards: Trimester 1 Report Cards were mailed home the last week of December. Please reach out to us if you have not received your child’s report card and contact your child's teacher or school counselor with any questions you might have.

Social Emotional Learning: The highlighted character trait for January is Respect. The Move this World theme is Empathy (feeling or understanding what someone else is feeling, perspective taking).
