The most important part of the day for many students is lunch. Here is the link to the website where you can find PaySchools Central to put money on your student's account, check out the lunch menus, and complete the free and reduced lunch form. The free and reduced lunch form must be completed every year. We encourage you to apply even if you have been denied in the past.
Marysville School District's goal is to ensure that all students arrive safely at school each and every day. We are excited to announce the launch of SafeArrival, an efficient student absence report system.
SafeArrival is an effective communication tool that makes reporting your student’s absence more efficient and timely. SafeArrival will reduce the time it takes to verify student attendance, make it easier for families to report their child’s absence and staff to respond to unexplained student absences.
With SafeArrival, you can report your child’s absence in advance or the day of when they cannot attend school due to an illness, health appointment, etc. using any of the the following free (3) convenient methods:
1. PowerSchool Mobile App: Using your mobile device, open or install the PowerSchool Mobile App from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Select the menu option in the lower right corner of the screen. Select SafeArrival from the list. Select Report Absence at the top of the screen. Select the reason for the absence from Type of Absence. Select Save.
2. MyPowerHub: Login to MyPowerHub. Select Attendance on the left side, then select SafeArrival Attendance. On the SafeArrival screen, select Report Absence. Select Absence Reason. Select Save.
3. Toll-Free Phone: Call the toll-free number [1-855-876-7974] to report an absence using the automated phone system.
These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Day of absences, for instance for illness, should be reported as early in the morning as possible the day of the absence. Future absences can also be reported in advance.
Schools will use the SchoolMessenger Communicate automated notification system to contact parents/guardians whose child is absent when the absence was not reported. The automated notification system will contact parents/guardians within 2 hours of the start of the school day for that building.

Here a few reminders and updates regarding early dismissal of students.
- If you are going to change your child's dismissal plan, you must communicate this with the front office. You can communicate this with the teacher, but you must also make sure the office is aware of any changes.
- We will not take dismissal changes after 3:00. The office starts to get very busy at the end of the day and there is a lot going on. We will stop making changes after 3:00 in order to ensure that any changes made are properly communicated with teachers and students.
- Students will not be dismissed to anyone that is not listed in PowerSchool as an emergency contact.
As we wrap up our first two days with grades 1-4, there are a few car drop off practices I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of.
At Arrival
1. Please pull up as far as you can before dropping of your students. We have a drop-off zone from the bike racks to Edgewood Dr.
2. Please stay in your vehicles. If your child needs assistance, please pull over to a parking spot and walk them over to the sidewalk.
At Dismissal
1. Please pull all the way up. The line can be stop and go. Sometimes you will see your child and they will want to get into the car, but to keep the line moving, we ask that you keep moving until the last group that loaded is out of the parking lot.
2. Please stay in the line, even if you have your child and the car in front is still loading. It is too dangerous to pull around with so many students around.
3. We ask that your child load the vehicle on the side by the sidewalk.
4. Everyone must remain in their vehicle at pickup.
5. If your child needs assistance getting buckled or situated in the car please go through the car line and then pull over to a parking spot to buckle them in or get them settled.
Front Door Walkers
- If your child is a front door walker, please meet them at the crosswalk on Grove Street. They will be escorted by several adults to this location. Please do not come to the front door.
Hello Edgewood Families,
Please see below for an important update for our Mumkins fundraiser. Foertmeyer & Sons is still our plant provider, but they are using a new sales vendor - Sowzer - and unfortunately the original link they sent was mixed up with another school and now we have a new one to use.
Please click the link below to activate your student’s account and store link - you will not be given a link this year, we all have to activate them separately.
Our sale is open, so once you have your student link created, please share it out with family and friends via text, email and social media so they can order!
Our sale goes through September 9th, and our plant pick up day is Saturday, September 26th - so please mark your calendars now!
We will send out a signup for pick up volunteers next week, as we do need help to unload the truck and run the drive thru pick up. The good news is that our process is not complicated and usually a simple and fun morning!
