Principal's Message
Dear Maple Families,
We had a great first week back from break, and it has been wonderful to see our students return excited, engaged, and ready to learn as we kick off the second half of the school year. The energy on campus has been positive, and we’re looking forward to all that’s ahead!
We are looking forward to connecting with our families at our English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting this Thursday, December 15, at 5:30 PM. All families are welcome, and we encourage you to join us to share your voice and support our English learners.
We’re also excited to share that we are hoping to get a school chorus up and running this spring in partnership with CRPD! Our goal is for Maple students to have the opportunity to participate in the All-District Choral Festival, and interest from families will help make this possible. If your child is interested in chorus, please be sure to sign up.
As always, we are grateful for our amazing parent community and are always looking for families to join our Parent Faculty Association (PFA). With a school dance and our Fun Run fundraiser coming up this spring, we would love help with planning and organizing these fun events. Our next PFA General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 4, at 5:30 PM in the Maple MPR—we hope to see you there!
Finally, it’s hard to believe, but it’s already time to begin thinking about culmination activities for our 5th graders. Please be on the lookout for upcoming emails and Smore reminders about yearbook dedications as we prepare to honor and celebrate this amazing class that we will miss dearly.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership—Maple Mustangs show up! 💙
With Mustang Pride,
Meghann O'Weger

Maple Chorus!
Please consider signing up for Maple Chorus for the spring! We were unable to run a chorus for the fall due to low enrollment and would love to bring this wonderful tradition back to Maple. Spring chorus culminates with the All-District Chorus Festival at the Civic Arts Plaza and is a wonderful experience for all future performers! We hope to have Maple Mustangs there.

Donation Matching
Does Your Company Match Donations?
Double the impact of your gift to Maple PFA!
Many companies offer matching gift programs, where they will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, turning your $50 into $100 for Maple students
How it works:
1. Donate to Maple PFA (membership, or general donation)
2. Submit a match request through your employer’s HR portal
3. Your company sends an additional donation — at no cost to you!
Local companies that offer matching gifts include:
• Amgen
• Bank of America
• Disney
• Kaiser Permanente
• Qualcomm
• Target
• Wells Fargo
(and many more — check with your HR department!)
Your matched donation helps fund PE, Art, Music, Field Trips, Talent Show, and more!
