KES Family Newsletter

Only 5 more weeks! Just like that, our last full month of the 2024-2025 school year is here! We hope that all our KES families are looking forward to all the fun activities that spring brings with it! As the weather warms up and the flowers and trees bloom, we are excited to celebrate all the growth our KES students have made this year with some fun and exciting events to end our school year. Keep reading this edition of our KES Family Newsletter to learn about our exciting year-end field trips, activities, and other important dates and information!

We are looking forward to our final family engagement event of the year! On May 20th from 5pm-7pm, we would love for all our Kingston students and their families to join us for a picnic in the park! Please plan to join us for music, yard games, hot dogs, ice cream and much more! We hope to see you there!

This year our Field Day for grades 4th-6th will take place on 5.27.25 and our Young 5's - 3rd grade Field Day will take place on 5.28.25. The makeup dates will be 6.2.25 and 6.4.25 respectively. Both Field Day dates will take place at the KHS track. Students will begin walking to the track by 8:15am each day and the events will begin when students arrive at the high school around 8:30. Field Day events on both dates will wrap up before noon. Family members are welcome to attend to cheer their students on. We hope to see you there!

Though our KES Enrollment night has already passed, it is not too late to get our youngest Cardinals signed up for the 2025-2026 school year! We are still accepting Kindergarten and GSRP Preschool enrollment applications. If you or someone you know has a child that needs to sign up, please have them call the KES main office for more information! Or, you can register your child (must turn 4 by December 1st 2025) for preschool using this GSRP Registration Form.

Looking to do some spring cleaning and get rid of old clothes around the house? We have just the place for them! KES is holding a Clothing Drive Battle between all classes later this month. All clothing proceeds will support the Tuscola County Family Promise with the mission to end homelessness in our community. Please see the graphic for more details!

Please check out Mrs. Hayward's May Newsletter for updates from the Nurse's Office!
