Costume Expectations Costume Expectations

We are looking forward to a fun Halloween celebration with our CUBS! 🎃 Please help us make the day fun, safe, and manageable for everyone by following a few costume guidelines.

Because we have a regular school day leading up to our parade and party, and limited time to change into costumes, please keep the following in mind:

  • Please minimize blood, gore, and overly scary costumes (we have little kids here and don't want anyone scared)
  • No fake weapons such as guns, axes, swords, knives, etc.
  • No makeup during the school day. We will not have time to apply makeup before the parade.
  • No hair dye or colored hair products.
  • Please send costumes in a bag rather than having students wear them to school. Students will change into their costumes before the parade.

Our parade and party are meant to be a short, fun opportunity for students to celebrate Halloween and see what their classmates will be wearing for trick-or-treating. We simply won't have enough time for elaborate hair, makeup, or accessories.

Save the makeup, hair, and extra accessories for a fun-filled Saturday night with your family! 🎃👻

Thank you for helping us make Halloween at Standing Bear a safe, fun, and enjoyable day for everyone!.
