Attendance is one of the most important things for a student's success in school, and we need your help to make sure every day counts. When students are in class, they're not just learning facts; they're building the skills they'll need for life.

Why Attendance Matters

Missing school, even just a few days here and there, can really add up. When a student is absent, they can fall behind quickly. It's like trying to read a book after skipping a few chapters—it's hard to understand what's happening.

Academic Success: Regular attendance is directly tied to better grades. Kids who are in class consistently do better on tests and assignments because they're getting all the information directly from their teachers. They can ask questions, participate in discussions, and get hands-on experience. All of these things are much harder to do if they're not there.

Referrals are now open for our Gifted & Talented (G&T) program for the upcoming school year. If you believe your child demonstrates exceptional advanced learning needs, high abstract reasoning, or creative problem-solving abilities, you are invited to submit a referral for formal evaluation.

We hope to see you at Davis HS on Wednesday, October 7th at 5:30pm for the Plummer Choir & Davis Choir Fall Concerts! Doors will open for families at 5:15pm in the auditorium. The concert is free! Please donate to our Choir TeamFunded Fundraiser! Help us support our instructional and performance goals for our singers!

As a friendly reminder, we ask that all parents complete the Senate Bill 12 Consent Forms as soon as possible. This new legislation requires parental consent for a variety of school-based services and activities, including participation in clubs, and receiving certain health and counseling services.
