Congratulations to GTHS students: Leila Sinkler, Tiffany Escobar, Natalie Martin, and Hannah Cuenca for winning the Social Canvas Event at the PAC for Columbia Co. Arts at the Plaza night.

Parents can now submit parent and medical absence notes online through the Parent Portal! No more paper forms—just follow these quick steps:

1. Open Parent Portal and tap the three lines in the upper left corner.
2. Select More.
3. Choose Absence Requests.
4. Fill out the form for your student and upload any documents.
5. Hit Submit to complete!

New gates have been installed at the front of the school to help manage traffic in the parking lot area. When you enter the school in the morning or afternoon, you must go through the car loop line unless you are parking in the parking lot with a proper permit.

Please do not enter the parking lot area unless you are parking a vehicle. All pick up and drop off traffic must utilize the car loop.

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Division for Exceptional Children is asking parents of students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to complete the 2026 Annual Parent Involvement Survey for Georgia Families Raising a Student with a Disability.

This statewide survey helps GaDOE and Parent to Parent of Georgia identify needs in family involvement and strengthen supports for students with disabilities. All responses are confidential and are coded by number, not by name.
