The Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Today marks the 1st Quarter Midterm. Teachers will have grades updated by Monday at 3:00 PM. Midterm grades will then be printed and mailed home by Friday morning. Thank you for continuing to support and encourage your student. Your involvement is an important part of their education and success!

This week has flown by with all of the school activities and preparations for the Pig-N-Pickle!

The Pig-N-Pickle, Saturday, September 19, is a favorite community event where our students come together as a class to plan and create their floats. They’ll get to see all their hard work in action while tossing candy to parade spectators!

Float Line-Up: 11:00 AM
Parade Start: 12:00 PM

After the parade, join us at Tuscumbia Park for an afternoon of fun! There will be music, vendors, a pulled pork meal, a dunking booth, games, and, of course, my personal favorite… fried pickles!

Finally, don’t forget—NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 21!

We hope to see everyone at the Pig-N-Pickle this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend, Lions!

IMPORTANT DATES

  • September 21- No School

  • September 22-FFA Mum Sale Begins

  • September 23-Emergency Safety Drills

FFA Happenings

What a great week it's been for our FFA members! Here’s a look at some of the highlights:

Area 8 Leadership Conference:
Our officer team continues to grow in confidence, teamwork, and leadership. They may not have taken home the Rituals title, but they are winners in our eyes and in our community! I can't wait to see what this team accomplishes this year!

T. Wayne Williams:
Our members had the opportunity to hear from National FFA Officer T. Wayne Williams. His message was simple but powerful: slow down, look around, and appreciate the people who love and support you. T. Wayne also spent time with our freshman class, bringing plenty of inspiration, energy, and fun as they begin their FFA journey.

Ag Constructions :

Our upperclassmen are rocking and rolling in the shop! They are building, creating, problem-solving, and turning their ideas into some amazing projects! Some projects include a Chicken Tractor, Metal and Wood stands and some fun fall wood projects.

The year is just getting started, and I couldn't be more excited to see where Tuscumbia FFA goes from here!

Members don't forget the FFA meeting date has changed to Sept 30th. Please see flyer for details.
