Weekly Update 3-13

March 13, 2026

Dear Oak Brook Families,

Science Night is Tuesday, March 24th. We still need volunteers and there are plenty of spaces left for students. Please sign up using the link below.

We hope everyone has the chance to enjoy a little down time over spring break. We will look forward to seeing everyone back on March 23. It is hard to believe that when we come back from break, we will have less than 2 months of school left (our last day is May 22). We look forward to a strong finish for all of our students.

Sincerely,

Katie & Chris

Science Night

Please join us for Science night on Tuesday, March 24. Oak Brook students will get to do fun and engaging hands on activities related to chemistry, biology, and physics! This year we will have two 'sessions' - to provide flexibility for families and allow more students to participate! Students will rotate through several rooms/activities on a set schedule. Please see the sign up link, and sign up each student based on their current grade level and also based on which 'session' you will attend.

There will be High School helpers and a parent volunteer leading Oak Brook students through each activity. We encourage parents of younger students to stay with their child if possible. Older students may be dropped off. We would also love for you to sign up as a Parent helper in a room! This is an easy job and we need parent volunteers to help things run smoothly. We can't wait to see you at Science Night!

Legacy Project

If you are still in the giving spirit, the PTO Board introduced a Legacy Project for this year:

Commemorate your family's legacy at Oak Brook with a personalized plaque in the Art room! Families can donate individually or go in together as a group!

By donating, you will be helping the PTO purchase new tables for our Art Room and in exchange your family’s name will be proudly displayed on a plaque, honoring your contribution for generations to come.
