Tiger Tales
Note from the Principal
ILS friends and families,
As Christians we journey through Holy Week, the time from Palm Sunday through Easter, reflecting on the sacrifices God made for us through His son, Jesus Christ. This weekend is full of worship experiences, egg hunts, and time to celebrate with family. This past Wednesday, our 7th and 8th grade students led our school in a moving worship experience of reflection on what Jesus went through for us, when he was crucified. It is a blessing to get to worship together and talk together about what Easter really means.
Here is a brief description of what each of the days mean for us:
- Maundy Thursday: Commemorates the institution of the Lord's Supper and Jesus' commandment to love one another.
- Good Friday: A day of deep solemnity, meditation on the crucifixion, the sacrifice of Jesus as the Lamb of God, and the forgiveness of sins.
- Easter Sunday: The celebration of Christ's victory over death, sin, and the devil. We celebrate the resurrection's promise of eternal life! He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!
