We are still building our Veterans Wall

We are building a Veteran's Honor Wall. Your student brought home a paper explaining how to make a "brick" for the wall to honor a Veteran in their family, a friend, or someone they admire. We have more paper if you want to make more than one, or any half sheet of paper will work! Please send these in as soon as possible.

Fifth Grade Student Store on Fridays!

Our fifth grade students are running a store to learn about commerce and make money for their Eco Week trip in the spring. The store is open for shopping on Fridays at lunchtime only. Students must be finished eating before they can shop.

Laternenumzug

Join us November 14th for Family Lantern Making Night in the cafeteria from 4:30-5:30. Please note that this event is hosted by our wellness committee and is separate from CLC so we will only be in the cafeteria for this event! You will get to make a paper lantern with a balloon, tissue paper, and glue. Leave it with us to dry, and it will be ready for you to take on the walk the following week.

On November 21st it will be Laternenumzug (Family Lantern Walk) from 4:45-5:45pm. Use the lantern you made at the school, or one you make at home, and come walk with us! We will gather at the school and then walk for about a half hour. Hot chocolate will be served in the cafeteria at 5:30.

This fun family and community activity comes to us via Mrs Hyde from Germany and we are looking forward to seeing all the beautiful lanterns lit together!

Book Fair is Next Week!

Scholastic Book Fair is here again!

You may load money for your student to spend into a "wallet" or you may send cash with your student to use. You may also come shop during these times! Here is the link for the "wallet": https://www.scholastic.com/bf/academyofartsandknowledge

Hours are:

November 12th from 3-4pm

November 13th from 3-4pm
