CGMSC Parent Newsletter Template
January 14th, 2025
Thank you to all the families who consistently follow the drop-off and pick-up procedures. Unfortunately, when just a few do not, it can directly lead to students arriving late to school. These procedures are in place to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Please follow the drop-off procedures even if no MSC staff are present
- Do not block the staff parking lot entrance near door #2
- Pull bumper to bumper to maximize the number of students that can exit during a drop-off phase
- Make sure your student can promptly exit the passenger side of your vehicle

8th Grade Basketball
Big congratulations to the 8th grade girls basketball team on their county championship this weekend as they put up some incredible numbers to claim back to back county championships. The Lady Trojans hit an impressive 18 three pointers and shooting 71% from the free throw line as they faced off against two very tough county opponents on Saturday. In the first game the trojans dominated over Whiteland with a final score of 45-30. In the championship game, the lady trojans battled it out football style against a very aggressive Indian Creek team. The game was neck and neck the entire time but the trojans came out on top with a 46-41 victory. Congrats ladies on the great victory!

NEW - Supporting CGMSC PTO
Supporting CGMSC PTO = Supporting Teachers and Students
We’re excited to announce the launch of the CGMSC Booster Club! The goal of this new initiative is to raise funds that support teacher and student needs, particularly through grants for teachers who require additional resources beyond what the school can provide.
So far this year, the PTO has funded:
Teacher Grants:
6th Grade Science Molecule Sets
Sun & Earth Orbital Models
Educational Conferences (Elevating Education 2024)
Legos for the Lego Club
Science carts for 6th-grade yellow team
Book sets for 7th grade special education
Tuners for the 6th-8th grade band
Other PTO Contributions:
Gift cards and prizes for CHAMP Rewards
Meals and drinks for teachers during conference nights
$20 gift cards for each teacher in December
However, there are still several teacher grant requests we cannot fund due to limited resources. To address this, we’re aiming to raise our teacher grant budget from $5,000 to $10,000 by year-end. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the CGMSC Booster Club using the QR code or mail a check to: CGMSC PTO 4900 W Stones Crossing Rd Greenwood, IN 46143.
If you can’t donate, we’d love for you to get involved by attending a monthly meeting or volunteering at an event. Sign up here for PTO dates and info: PTO Communication Sign Up
Thank you for your support!

Feel free to read and provide feedback on one or all of the books. You can also find information about these books by visiting www.goodreads.com as well as information about Gordon Korman by going to his website at https://gordonkorman.com/.
