Eagle Express
October 9th , 2026
Good afternoon, Arrowwood families!
As we prepare for our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences, we are reminded of how powerful the connection between home and school is. When families and educators work together, our children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Conferences offer a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child's progress, set meaningful goals as a team, and strengthen our shared commitment to their learning journey. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to support your child.
Important Schedule Updates
Early Release Days: School will release early at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, October 14th, and Thursday, October 15th. Please make arrangements to pick up your children promptly at 10:45 AM on both days.
Scholastic Book Fair: Our Book Fair is happening all week long. We invite you to visit and discover wonderful new stories that encourage a lifelong love of reading at home and support our school library.
Parking Lot Safety Guidelines Student safety remains our highest priority here at Arrowwood. We kindly ask all drivers to follow these parking lot procedures carefully:
Turning Left on Seidel: Families using the parking lot who plan to turn left onto Seidel must park in a designated parking space and walk their child directly to the crosswalk where staff are located to stop traffic.
Single Drop-Off Lane Only: Please do not form or create a second drop-off lane in the parking lot. Creating an additional lane blocks traffic flow and puts children in danger as they cross through moving vehicles. If you would like to not have to exit your car, please use the sidewalk drop off lane and turn right from the lot.
Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and continued partnership in keeping our school community safe and supportive. We look forward to seeing you this week.
Have a great weekend, Eagles!

Please be sure to complete and return your Parent-Teacher Conference appointment request forms as soon as possible so we can secure a meeting time that works best for your schedule. Please also indicate if your child has a sibling as teachers will work to coordinate appointments as best they can. We truly appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to speaking with you soon!
PBIS Plan and Celebrations
We are so excited to share Arrowwood Elementary’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) plan for the 2026–2027 school year! Our plan is designed to create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where students feel supported to take risks, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their growth.
Each month, we focus on a specific school-wide theme to help support our students' behavioral goals:
August & September: We focused on Respect and Responsibility as we established our daily school routines.
October: We are focusing on Courtesy and Positive Relationships to show what it means to be a good friend.
Upcoming Months: We will highlight a new area of focus each month during the year.
At the end of each month, students who achieve their behavioral goals will be invited to celebrate with a fun reward. Celebrations this year range from a glow party to extra recess with a sweet treat! For students who need extra encouragement, our support team will spend this time helping them reflect and build an action plan to reach their goals in the coming month.
Our students are already working hard and achieving great things! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to a school year filled with growth, success, and celebration! Please sign and return the slip so we know you have received and reviewed our PBIS plan.
Squishes and Fidgets
We need your help keeping our classrooms focused on learning and fun! While we know how popular Squishies are right now, these toys have become a major distraction during the school day. To support learning and avoid the heartbreak of lost items, please make sure all Squishies, toys, and fidgets stay safely at home. Please note that the school cannot be responsible for any lost, misplaced, or stolen toys brought to campus. We truly appreciate your partnership in keeping our school day focused and worry-free for everyone!

Book Fair is Coming!
Dear families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school!
Dates: October 12-16, 2026
Location: Library
Times: During School Hours and Parent Teacher Conferences
Link for Bookfair: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/arrowwoodelementaryschool?shem=aimgspc
This is a great opportunity to build your child’s home library with new books that will get them excited about reading, while also earning funds for our school. The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating a Book Fair eWallet through our school homepage. It’s easy to set up and easy for family and friends to add funds.
With eWallet, you’ll also have the chance to contribute to Share the FairTM—the giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed!
Preview the books coming to the Fair by taking a 360° virtual tour via our school’s Book Fair homepage and explore the titles, watch video book trailers, and more.
We can’t wait to see you at the Fair and help every student discover a book they’ll love!
Happy reading!
Soar Squad
Dear Families,
We have heard your feedback and are excited to increase the ways you can be involved here at Arrowwood Elementary, because when families and schools work together, students soar. Beginning as soon as October, we will be launching the Soar Squad, a parent and family volunteer initiative where you can help support students to soar to new heights here at school. Please follow the link (https://forms.gle/mayEUyHU1sSpeQwp6) or use the QR code to complete this interest survey to get on the list for this year, see the opportunities available, share how you would like to help, your preferences for volunteer training, and more.
