Progress Reports
Believe it or not, the first five weeks of the school year is over and we are at the halfway point for the first marking period. Notification of any progress reports completed for your child were emailed to parents/guardians yesterday (October 13, 2026). In order to access your child's progress reports, log into WITS and go to the "Classes" tab for each student. If you did not receive an email, your child did not have any progress reports submitted.
Below is a screenshot of what the "Classes" tab looks like. Click on the number that is in the "PR" (Progress Report) column. As always, feel free to reach out to any of your child's teachers if you have any questions, concerns, or need more information.

SHARED DECISION MAKING
North HS has a very active Shared Decision Making Team. Last year we partnered with our PTSA to implement a school wide improvement plan. Our identified goal areas were improving how we respond to suggestions, increasing awareness of services available within the community, helping families navigate school resources and the website, and communicating through preferred methods. To support this goal:
- we launched the North Admin/Student Forum, providing students with a space to share concerns, ask questions, and offer suggestions
- our College and Career Center expanded the Skilled Trades Fair, offering students greater exposure to a variety of career pathways
- in our newsletter, we included step-by-step screenshots to help parents navigate the system and verify their child’s schedule
- we founded a Social Media Club and launched a North Instagram account—follow us @WNHSSpartans to stay connected
We are thrilled to announce that North HS has been named a PTSA School of Excellence. We are one of 321 schools internationally to receive this designation. Mr. Smith, Mrs. McKinstry and Mr. Bowen were presented with a National School of Excellence Banner by fellow SDM member Beth-Anne McPhillips at our last SDM meeting.
