From the Principal's Desk
Dear SHS Families,
Bringing a close to our second week back from break brings with it a feeling that Christmas Break is behind us, and our learning routines are working in full stride to help us grow in our learning, friendships, and spirituality for the second semester. It also comes with a reminder that Catholic Schools Week will be starting soon, on Sunday, January 25th, with our Kick off Masses, where students are encouraged to attend wearing their SHS uniforms and will help lead the liturgy. Our very own Sacred Heart Knights will be having a Pancake Breakfast between the 9:00 & 11:00 Masses. See the flier below, and pay attention to reminders from your student’s class to stay up to date with the different ways we are celebrating our identity as a Catholic School that week.
Thank you to those who have taken part in the accreditation survey that was emailed out on Wednesday. Having input from your family helps us, as a school, make plans and get a clearer understanding of improvement priorities for future planning. Survey links and instructions can be found in my Wednesday email to families and in this newsletter.
Tickets for the Benefit Auction for Sacred Heart, the BASH, go on sale this weekend. Check out the BASH event on Facebook or check the Church bulletin for instructions on how to order your tickets. Remember that the BASH is our largest contributing fundraiser for the school, and the money raised from that night goes directly to supporting the school. I hope to see you all there.
Sunday is the SHS Movie Day in the Parish Hall. We will be serving popcorn. We encourage you to bring your family, relax with comfy clothes and blankets, and cozy up for a relaxing movie event for the family.
With Faith & Hope,
Patrick (P.J.) Greer

Dear SHS Families,
We value your voice and invite you to participate in our upcoming community survey, which will open on January 14 and close on January 30.
Your participation is essential in helping our school better understand the perspectives, experiences, and priorities of our families. The feedback you provide plays a vital role in guiding our ongoing school improvement efforts and helps ensure we are meeting the needs of our students and community.
In addition, this survey is an important component of our school’s accreditation process through our private accreditors, Lumen. Community input is a key part of demonstrating our commitment to reflection, growth, and excellence in education.
We encourage all families to take a few moments to answer the following questions. Your insights truly make a difference, and we appreciate your continued partnership and support.
The survey can be found on the "Community Survey" button below
