Heide Trask High School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Celebration Week from October 12–16 with student-created art, cultural displays, themed dress-up days and live dance performances. Students from Art, World Language, Dance and Learning Language Through Art classes helped transform the school lobby into a showcase of Hispanic and Latino culture, including a Rainforest Art Exhibit created in collaboration with faculty from UNC Wilmington’s Theater Department. Multilingual learner students also helped shape the week by selecting the daily dress-up themes, giving students a direct voice in the celebration. Our 2nd Annual Titans Volleyball Clinic was a HUGE success, and we couldn’t be more excited about the incredible turnout! Thank you to every player who came ready to learn, compete, make new friends, and have FUN! We hope you left with new skills, big smiles, and even more love for the game!
