Christie's Corner
We had a fabulous I Am Week! We have such special students at our school, it's really nice to celebrate their individuality! Our PTA wrote all of their names on the sidewalk, so that everyone walking through the hallway could see who they were. Each day the students had a fun time experiencing a fun activity. I think the alpaca from the petting zoo was one of my favorites.
If you have been by the campus, you may have noticed that a portable was taken away last weekend. Our bunnies are safe and weren't harmed in the move. The remaining portable will be removed after school is out.
Open House will occur on May 22, in the MP room. Dinner will be free for our families. California Burrito and Jeeroz Food Truck are catering this event. We will have a Rifton bike as a raffle prize and a silent auction for many different restaurants and local businesses. Please let us know if you would like an interpreter at the event.
On June 5, we will be having Herman Kothe from Alta Regional Center here during Hoppy Hour to share information about students' options following transitions after they turn 22. This workshop is intended for students who are high school or older, but welcome to all, to help inform parents and prepare for the future.
Extended School Year (ESY)/Summer School
School Hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00 - 11:00 for preschool and 8:00 - 12:00 for everyone else for four weeks this year. The dates will be June 23 - July 18. There will be no school on July 4 due to the holiday.
