A Note from Mrs. Mathe
As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your support, partnership, and trust. It has been such a joy to be part of your child’s educational journey and to watch our Huskies grow academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the year.
This year’s theme, “Hines is One of a Kind,” truly came to life each and every day on our campus. Our students are each wonderfully unique, bringing their own personalities, talents, strengths, and gifts to our school community. It is those beautiful differences that come together to make Hines such a special place. Just like a puzzle, every child adds something important to complete the picture of who we are as a campus family.
This week, we were also thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Mauk, who was recognized by Hughes and Cozad as their Teacher of the Year and treated to a special spa day. What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that she was nominated by several of her students, a true reflection of the impact she has on the children she serves each day. We are so proud of Mrs. Mauk and grateful to have her as part of our Hines family.
To our families moving on to new adventures, we wish you nothing but the very best and hope you always know you will remain a part of the Hines family. To our returning families, we are already looking forward to welcoming you back in the fall for another amazing year together.
Wishing each of you a summer filled with rest, laughter, fun, and special moments with those you love most. Thank you for making this school year so meaningful and memorable.
SMART Tags
As we wrap up the school year, students will be bringing their Smart Tags home with them for the summer. At the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year, all students will receive a new Smart Tag, lanyard, and plastic sleeve from the district. However, the Smart Tags currently attached to backpacks will still remain active and can be kept as a helpful “backup” in case your child loses their new one next year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Meraz
District Art Show
Congratulations to the following Huskies for being selected for the 2026 District Art Show, which will be held this September! We are SO proud of you and your incredible artistic talents. Their artwork will be professionally framed and displayed in the Conroe ISD Administration Building throughout the 2026–2027 school year. What an amazing accomplishment! Way to go, Huskies!

Student Spotlight
Student Spotlight is a dedicated section in The Hines Herald that celebrates the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, talents, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school.
This space recognizes students who are reaching personal goals, excelling in academics, athletics, or the arts, serving others, or making a meaningful difference in our community. Our students are accomplishing incredible things, and Student Spotlight is one way we proudly share and celebrate those moments.
