Thank you for helping us with our Attendance Incentives. Remember. Classes will be recognized for achieving the highest attendance. Please have your child at school daily if they can, if they are sick we understand but if they can come please encourage them to be here at school. Missing school greatly impacts academic success for students. Thank you so much for working with us in encouraging our students to have a successful school year.

Educational Travel Policy Update

Raider Families,

We wanted to share an important update regarding educational travel days. For the 2026–2027 school year, the number of excused educational travel days has been adjusted from 10 days to 5 days. Families traveling internationally may still be approved for up to 10 days.

We understand this is a change from previous years and appreciate your understanding as we follow the updated guidelines. If you have any questions regarding educational travel requests, please feel free to contact the front office.

Fire Safety Day At Cove Creek

On Wednesday, October 14th, Cove Creek celebrated Fire Safety Day! Ms. Martin’s class had lots of fun posing for pictures with Smokey Bear!

8th grade families, remember to send Mrs. Warren a baby or toddler picture of your 8th grader to warrenla@wataugaschools.org. You can also purchase an 8th grade recognition ad for $15 or $30. The ads are due by February 5th.

Thanksgiving Meal at Cove Creek

Friends of Cove Creek needs YOU!

There are lots of ways to get involved and help support our students, staff, and school community through Friends of Cove Creek. Whether you have a little time to give or simply want to learn more, we would love to have you join us!

We are also excited to offer gym banner renewals and new banner sales again this year. This is a great way for local businesses and families to support Cove Creek while helping FOCC raise funds that go right back into our school.

Interest forms can be returned to the Cove Creek front office or emailed to FriendsofCoveCreek@gmail.com.
