Mora Elementary Newsletter

Hello! We are professors, students, scientists, and community organizers from the Neuroscience groups at the University of Minnesota. We are very excited to invite you to a completely free and fun community event called Brain Day '25!

What is Brain Day?

Brain Day is an interactive, engaging, and free event celebrating the brain at the University of Minnesota. This will be a family-friendly event packed with live demonstrations, exciting experiments, and hands-on activities for all ages!

What can I expect from Brain Day?
Brain Day will allow curious community members of all ages the chance to meet with real scientists while doing cool hands-on experiments and games. At this event you will:

• Play fun games and activities

• Win prizes!

• Participate in free raffles just for showing up
• See yourself as a scientist
• Get free snacks
• Learn about the really cool research being done at UMN

Upon entering the event, each attendee will get a Brain Passport that gets stamped at each booth they attend. After filling their passport, attendees can spin a prize wheel! Additionally, at the top of each hour, we will be doing free raffles for even more great prizes! There will also be a snack table for brain food to keep you going throughout the event.

Additional event information and Frequently Asked Questions can be found by clicking this link or scanning the QR code on the flyer. If you have any questions about Brain Day, please reach out to neurobrainday@umn.edu.

We hope to see you at Brain Day '25!

Mora Elementary's Mustang Non-certified Spirit Award is Ms. Miranda Smith. Ms. Miranda has gone above and beyond to keep our playground cleaned and picked up by the end of the school day. She has a calm presence, assisting with student needs in our school. Congratulations, Ms. Miranda, for a job well done!
