OC Elementary Principal's Update

A big thank you to all of our families who took the time to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences! We truly value the partnership between home and school and appreciate the opportunity to connect, celebrate student successes, and discuss areas for continued growth. Your involvement and support play an important role in your child's learning and success. Thank you for working alongside us to help our students be their very best!

As the temperatures begin to drop, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather! Mornings can be especially chilly, even when the afternoons warm up, so sending a jacket, hat, and gloves is always a good idea. Students will continue to enjoy outdoor recess whenever possible, and we want everyone to stay warm and comfortable. Thank you for helping us make sure our students are ready for the changing weather!

Instead of recognizing just one student, we are excited to celebrate two brothers who have both demonstrated what it means to take responsibility! These two Knights have shown that being responsible means making good choices, taking ownership of their actions, and doing what is right. We are proud to recognize both Barrett and Hagen Peterson for being great examples of responsibility at Oakland-Craig Elementary! Keep up the great work, boys!

• Reporting Absences: If your child will be absent from school for any reason, please be sure to call Robin in the elementary office to let us know. We appreciate your help in keeping our attendance records accurate!

• Doctor's Appointments: If your child misses school due to a doctor's appointment, please send a doctor's note with your child when they return to school.

• Toys for Tots: Toys for Tots forms are due back to the elementary office by November 9th. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the office.

• Weather-Related School Closings: As winter weather approaches, we want to remind families that any late starts or school cancellations due to weather will be communicated through our One Call notification system and local news stations. If you are not currently receiving One Call notifications, please contact the office so we can make sure you are on the list.
