This Week at Waters - February 6
Circle of Help is a community aid organization that assists Waters Elementary School families who need support. This program aims to help alleviate the stress of financial hardship on students and their family members, so that students can focus on their education. We offer immediate assistance with items and services such as:
- Emergency food, clothing, diapers, and household items
- Lice treatment kits
- School supplies
- Financial assistance for public transportation
- Scholarships for camps and after-school programs
- Any additional items identified by teachers or school administrators

Allison 'Alli' Wickes joined the Waters staff in August 2025 as our occupational therapist. The students and staff know her as Ms. Alli. Ms. Alli comes to us after two years traveling on OT contract in the schools in CO, and 13 years at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Outside of school, Alli enjoys spending time adventuring with her family in nature. At Waters, Alli has been working with teachers, staff and administration to understand the needs of Waters students. She is at Waters on Wednesdays and Thursdays and is available via email at agwickes@cps.edu. Ms. Alli will be sending OT specific information via this newsletter, and reach out with any questions.
Almost every item that makes its way to the Lost & Found does not have any identifying marking on it. Although not a failsafe, these stickers have proved helpful for tagging kids' items over the years and spared some frustration from time to time.
