News from Principal Bunting
Here are the latest updates at CAIS:
- To improve safety and traffic flow, we are updating our drop-off and pick-up procedure. Families are encouraged to use the bus lane instead of the parking lot for student drop-off and pick-up.
Please adhere by the following safety and traffic flow guidelines:
*Stay in a single-file line—do not go around other cars.
*Follow all posted cones and signs—they are there for safety.
*Do not park or leave your vehicle—keep traffic moving smoothly.
*Do not park on/ block the crosswalk so students can walk by safely
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe!
- Join us for the CAIS Celebrate Black History on Thursday, February 27th at 5:30 in the library. There will be a brief PTO update in lieu of the February 20th date. RVSP.
- Continue to promote literacy and numeracy at home by encouraging daily independent reading of nonfiction texts and review of math facts. iReady, IXL , and Reflex are additional online learning platforms that provide additional academic support at various levels.
- Our attendance rate for January was 94%. Our goal is to have students in school every day. Please continue to notify, Tammy Broxton, tbroxton@blmfld.org, when your child will be absent. A medical note should be provided for extended absences due to illness.
- Families, please notify the school with contact (phone, email) updates so we may connect with you as needed.
Sincerely,
Ms. Bunting
News from the Nurse
Dear Parents,
As a friendly reminder, we are still in the cold /flu season. To prevent the spread of cold/flu in the school, we recommend that your child stay home if they are experiencing cold/flu symptoms. Please use the "Stay at Home Guidelines" to assist you in determining when to keep your child home. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at 860-286-2638.
