The MJTWeeklyThursday, October 6 2023
This week seemed to go by so quickly! The beautiful weather certainly was a bonus. This week here at MJT, students were able to utilize a variety of hands on activities with manipulatives! We have a technology consultant from BOCES that visits us once or twice a month. She was here on Wednesday, and several classes got to learn how to program their own robot car to move around a path. Students worked in small groups to design a path for their robot to drive, and then had to follow the list of commands in order to program it to drive the path correctly. This was a unique experience that allowed students to think critically, build relationships through teamwork, and problem solve. We look forward to the next activity!

This week we completed more fire drills, as well as our first lockdown drill.

*IMPORTANT*

We are noticing a large amount of students arriving late daily. This greatly impacts their day, and can result in missed academics, services, or special area classes. It is very important that your child/children arrive on time daily. If your child is going to be out sick, please call the main office and let us know. If your child is sick for 2 or more consecutive days, a doctor's note stating that they were seen for a visit is strongly encouraged. We appreciate your support and cooperation!
