Join us for a night of hands-on experiments, family fun, and a little spooky STEM magic. We canât wait to see our All Stars and their families exploring and learning together!
đ Fall Break is coming up October 9â13.
We hope this time gives everyone a chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones.

October is Bullying Prevention Month!
Character Trait of the Month
Throughout the year, staff will be recognizing students who demonstrate different character traits each month. At the end of each month, teachers will select one student from their class who has best exemplified that month's trait to be celebrated and awarded a certificate in recognition of their character.
October's Character Trait: Courage
Courage isn't the absence of fear; it's the willingness to act despite feeling fear or uncertainty. For children, everyday courage looks like:
Trying something new (like a challenging math problem).
Admitting a mistake or apologizing.
Speaking up or standing up for what's right.
Trying again after a setback or disappointment.
Help your child practice everyday courage with these simple steps:
Validate, then Encourage: Acknowledge their fear ("It sounds like you're nervous"), but shift the focus to action ("It's okay to be nervous, let's practice it together anyway!").
Focus on Effort, Not Outcome: Praise the courageous act of trying, regardless of the result. Use language like, "I'm so proud of you for having the courage to try out," or "It took guts to raise your hand and give it a shot!"
Share Your Own Courage: Share age-appropriate examples of when you had to step out of your comfort zone or apologize for a mistake.
CIS-Spooky Science Night STEM
As part of spooky science night, CIS will also have STEM fun for all!
