Ashland Preschool Weekly Update

Hello everyone,

We’re just two weeks away from Pittway Preschool Orientation Day on Thursday, August 28th, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’re looking forward to welcoming back our returning students and meeting all the wonderful new faces joining our preschool family.

Orientation is a great opportunity for students and families to explore the school, meet the staff, and ease into the school routine. It’s always a warm, fun, and friendly start to the year!

Mark your calendars: The first official day of school is Tuesday, September 2nd. We can’t wait to kick off another fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, and growth.

Teacher Assignments
You will be notified of your child's teacher before Orientation. Welcome emails from teachers will be sent out by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26th.

Please join us on Thursday, August 28th!

During orientation you and your child will meet their teachers and some of their classmates. You will have an opportunity to explore and play in the classroom. Parents/Caregivers will be asked to transition out of the classroom about halfway through the session for a brief presentation on program specific information such as arrival/dismissal procedures, tuition payments, and curriculum updates.

*AM Sessions for 3 year olds (Monday-Thursday; 8:30-11:00 AM)

Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM

*PM (Monday-Friday; 12:10-2:55pm) and FULL DAY Sessions (Monday- Friday; 8:30am-2:55pm)

Thursday from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM

*The playground will be open for 30 minutes after each session, for families to meet, mingle and play!

Below is a checklist of items that should be brought with you while attending orientation.

_____ Most up-to-date physical form.

_____ Any medication that your child needs. Please bring these items directly to the nurse’s office. Staff are not allowed to accept any medication.

_____ A change of clothes in a zip lock bag labeled with your child’s name to be kept in the classroom. (This should include a shirt, pair of pants/shorts, socks and underwear)

_____ Extra snacks, labeled with your child’s name (in case one is forgotten, spilled, etc.) to be kept in their classroom.

_____ Any missing paperwork, as your child will not be able to attend at the start of school, if all paperwork is not received. You will be notified if you are missing any prior to orientation.

_____A Family photo and 3 individual photos of your child. Please email these to dlowell@ashland.k12.ma.us prior to orientation day.
