Principal's Weekly Update

Good news! We have 403 students who either met or exceeded their growth goals on the MAP reading and/or math tests this winter! We will be recognizing these students on Wednesday at our MAP growth celebration. Invites were sent via email to qualifying students and parents on Friday.

We're seeing an increase in cracked/ broken Chromebook screens, as well as broken and lost chargers. We want to remind you that these fixes and replacements will be charged to student's accounts. Please reiterate the importance of taking care of their district issued Chromebooks to ensure they don't incur any charges.

Starting February 5th, there will be PG&E crews working at the intersection of Mankas Corner Rd and Rancho Solano Pkwy between 9am-1pm. Please plan accordingly for a possible increase in traffic.

The cities of Fairfield and Suisun City are two of the most diverse communities in California. To honor that diversity, each week FSUSD will be sharing information about the cultures that make up our extra special learning community.

February marks Black History Month, a tribute to African American men and women who have made significant contributions to America and the rest of the world in the fields of science, politics, law, sports, arts, entertainment, and many other fields.

While Black History Month is synonymous with prominent figures such as Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Barack Obama, there are countless other African Americans who have made a profound impact in history: astronaut Mae C. Jemison, open-heart surgeon Daniel Hale Williams, inventor Garret Morgan, and “Father of Black History” Carter G. Woodson.

Any middle school student attending an FSUSD high school game must be accompanied by an adult.

Students attending home games at BGW must have their school ID and must pay 20 PBIS points to attend. Only students from BGW and from the opposing team will be able to enter games. Space is limited.
