National School Counseling Week is a time to recognize the incredible work of our school counselors. They are listeners, problem-solvers, advocates, and champions for every student’s success. Through guidance, encouragement, and care, our counselors help students navigate challenges and discover their strengths. We are grateful for all that Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Diehl do every day.
Congratulations to our January Golden Ticket prize winners! On Friday, we ran the January Golden Ticket Raffle from our PBIS Online Reward System. Golden Tickets are earned when students go above and beyond our expectations of Respect, Ownership, Courage, Kindness and Safety. Staff give them to students when they are really impressed. The following 10 students were given the choice of a school treat (Pencils, erasers, fidgets...) or a sweet treat.

Congratulations, Mrs. Mays! Mrs. Mays is new to our Scott team this year. She is our Life and Future Readiness teacher. Ms. Mays is very dedicated to her craft and is always looking to create enjoyable lessons that will make an impact in the students' lives. She works tirelessly to provide for her students and seeks how to best support them now in order for them to gain skills necessary for the rest of their lives. She puts forth extra effort to ensure her students are held accountable. She always has a positive attitude and is so encouraging to other staff. She consistently brings warmth and positivity to those around her, offering comfort and kindness even on difficult days. We are so happy she has joined us!
We also want to congratulate our runners up: Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Hydutsky, and Mr. Quarles. All three staff members were given a gift card to treat themselves at Dunkin Donuts. We have an amazing team here at Scott!
Donated gently used or new clothes would be greatly appreciated by the nurse.
Additional Reminders:
All 6th grade students required a Physical exam by their own health care provider by Winter Break
All 7th grade students will required a Dental exam by their own dental care provider by Winter Break.
If your student needs medication in school, please have their doctor complete the medication form and have an adult bring the medication to the school nurse.
