Author Meet and Greet

This week JC had a very special visitor come and read. The amazing author Valerie Bolling. She lives right here in Connecticut and read her some of her books. The first books she read was Ride, Roll, Run Time For Fun. This book open the discussion of what we do out side for fun and exercise. Afterwards, Mrs. Bolling read the book Let's Dance. This book was so much fun to read because we got to dance though out the whole book. The book teaches us that around the world there is many different ways people dance! During the book, we got up and tried to dance to those countries.

United Nations Day

Preschool is learning and participating as well in UN Day. This is a staple of Julian Curtiss and we are so excited to be part of this for the very first time! We are learning the song Colors by Jason Derulo so that we can sing along with the whole school on UN Day! More information will follow but have fun practicing and listing to the song!

We are participating in JC school wide UN Day! We are representing the U.S.A. However, the schools parade will after our normal dismissal time. We will do our normal dismissal and we ask if your child partakes in the parade, that you will need to stay and hop in the U.S.A section (its the last country of the parade). We hope to see you there!

Small Group

This week we introduce the topic of the season fall. Everyone is very curious of the world around them. We started by discussing all about the trees and why they are changing. With the collection of leaves we started doing leaf printing. Following the CT ELDS of science to understanding living and Earthly features. Another small group activity where we sorting pom poms by color than by size! Following the CT ELDS of understanding the attributes of items.
