Campaigning in the Classroom
Ms. Vetsch’s class put their civics lessons into action this week with their very own class election! After learning about the role of the president, presidential requirements, and how voting works, students created campaign posters and stepped into the voting booth to cast their ballots.
Their newly elected president will help lead Friday morning meetings and serve as the substitute reporter when Ms. Vetsch is out. The vice president will monitor iReady progress, hand out stickers for passed lessons, and select a student who has followed the behavior matrix to choose the class karaoke cleanup song. These new leaders have some important responsibilities ahead!
