Do you know...?

Can Turkeys Fly?

The wild turkey can fly! (It does, however, prefer to walk or run.) The domestic turkey is not an agile flyer, although the bird will perch in trees to stay safe from predators.

Shopping Day With Kids is Coming Soon and We Need YOU!

Shopping Day With Kids is coming Saturday, December 6, 7:30 to Noon! This time of year brings out the best in us and now is the time to spoil some younger members of the Omro community who may be less fortunate.

We provide a quick breakfast, then children are matched with a high school student to shop for and wrap their gifts, and finally, we finish with a delicious lunch.

High school volunteers are needed to work at the elementary school preparing the food and wrapping stations and to shop with the younger students. Please see Mrs. Kennedy or Mrs. Miller for more information and for an application form.

Any teachers and staff that would like to become a part of this great event, please let us know as well. This is a great way to begin the holiday season!
