And finally, the library will be closed for the remainder of the week as Sara will not be in, so please do not go down to print or visit unless you are accompanied by a teacher. Thanks!

Dress Code Reminders!

As the weather starts to warm, it is a great time to remind you of the school district dress policy!

The following styles or manners of dress are prohibited:

  • Clothing may not have hems, waistlines, necklines, holes, or tears that expose the student inappropriately.
  • Midriffs, hips, cleavage, buttocks, upper thigh, and all undergarments should be covered at all times, including during any physical movement that may alter the clothing's ability to cover the body appropriately. For example, a student should be appropriately covered while sitting in desks, when arms are raised above the head, etc.

Clothing that is not allowed includes, but is not limited to:
  • Strapless shirts/dresses
  • Shorts and skirts that are not long enough to appropriately cover when standing, reaching, sitting, or bending over
  • Clothing that doesn’t cover all private body parts and/or undergarments
  • Clothing that is transparent or nearly transparent
  • Cut-off t-shirts with sides cut out
  • Any clothing that promotes (or makes any reference to through play-on-words, figures of speech, etc.) alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons of any kind, offensive language or gang-related symbols.
  • Clothing with obscene or sexually suggestive signs or sayings
  • Any hats, hoods worn on head from sweatshirts, sport caps, sunglasses or chains not considered jewelry (e.g. wallet chains)
  • Backpacks, book bags, purses, blankets, stuffed animals, etc. - students are not permitted to carry them to and from classes without administrative permission
  • Jackets, coats, or outdoor gear
Please make sure to read over these guidelines ahead of time, as you will be called in and asked to change if your clothing violates this policy. Thanks!

Wisconsin Army Cadets

OPEN HOUSE: MARCH 16! 9:00am- 12:00 PM FREE EVENT!

Who is this program for? Youth ages 13-20 who like high adventure; are thinking about the military, but not sure what it would be like; want to develop self-confidence, leadership, teamwork and communication skills; or are just looking for something different and challenging.

What is the Wisconsin Army Cadets? The Wisconsin Army Cadets is a career exploration program for young men and women ages 13-20 years old. We currently have Cadets from various cities across the state of Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide military career exploration and leadership opportunities to motivated youth. We provide an opportunity for youth to get a feel for what it might be like to join the military without actually enlisting and to be a part of something bigger than themselves. We are not a disciplinary program for troubled youth. Upon joining the program, a Recruit is expected to attend monthly weekend drills. After completing a challenging Basic Cadet Training, a Recruit earns the title of Cadet, the right to wear the modified Army uniform, excel through the ranks, and hold leadership positions.

Approximately 30% of our Cadets have gone on to join the US Armed Forces. But even for those who do not have military career ambitions, this program helps youth mature into confident, responsible young adults.

Summer Opportunity

The Omro Pool is hiring!! Applications for Lifeguard are due March 14, and April 11 for Front Desk. You must be 15 years old for Lifeguard and have completion of your CPR/AED by May 10. For Front Desk you need to be 14 years old. Applications can be dropped off or mailed to Omro City Hall by 4:30pm on the days specified.
