NES Parent Newsletter 9/1/25
September 1, 2025

Dear NES Families,
We have officially finished PM1 testing, with only a few makeup groups left to complete. Thank you for helping your students be ready and focused during testing!
A reminder that there will be no school on Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend with your families.
As administrators, we’ve also been spending time in 1 Minute Meetings with students. These quick conversations have been a wonderful way to get to know our students better, hear their perspectives, and connect one-on-one.
We know many of you have asked about the jersey-style shirts similar to our staff shirts—we have reached out to the vendor and are waiting on the mock-up to share with families for preorders. We hope to have that information in next week’s newsletter, along with an online payment option through RevTrak to make purchasing even easier.
We wish everyone a safe and fun three-day weekend and look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday!
With gratitude and positivity,
Mrs. Jessica Lowe, Principal
Mrs. Heather Briney, Assistant Principal

Energy Bus
Energy Bus Rule #1: You’re the Driver of Your Bus 🚍✨
This rule reminds students that they are in charge of their own attitude, choices, and actions. Just like a bus driver decides where the bus will go, each child has the power to steer their day in a positive direction.
What this means for students:
-
They can choose kindness.
-
They can choose effort.
-
They can choose to stay positive, even when things get tough.
What you can do at home:
Ask your child: “What choices did you make today to drive your bus in a positive direction?” This simple question encourages responsibility, reflection, and a positive mindset.
Together, let’s help our students drive their buses toward kindness, learning, and success!
Menu for this Week
Lunch :
Tuesday Taco / grill cheese
Wednesday chicken patty on a bun / hotdogs
Thursday Baked chicken / small amount of Chef Salads
Friday Pizza / chicken and Moz sandwich
