Important Notes for Families

1. If you have not done so this school year, please update your contact and emergency information in the 2023-2024 Returning Student Registration found on the Parent Portal (can only be done on computer and not on the app). Even if your information hasn't changed, please submit your information annually to keep the information current. This will also help to make sure that you receive notifications and emails (i.e. Snow Day Alerts!) from the district and school at the correct contact.

2. The winter months see an increase of various illnesses like the common cold, Flu, RSV and some COVID cases. Over break, our wonderful Custodial Staff has deep-cleaned the school and will continue to clean and sanitize classrooms and the cafeteria as well as commonly-touched surfaces. If your child is not feeling well, we recommend that they stay home from school. We ask that families please not send students to school with any of the following symptoms: Elevated temperature (fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication), Nausea or Vomiting, and Other Symptoms like excessive cough or sore throat accompanied by headache, muscular aches or pain. We appreciate your understanding in trying to keep everyone healthy!

Fun Lesson in 6th Grade Social Studies!

Mrs. Laderach's social studies classes explored the geography of Egypt's Nile River Valley by creating 3D maps using PlayDoh. Students created the Nile River, its Delta, the Mediterranean Sea, the fertile land and desert land with PlayDoh. It was a new, hands-on way to learn about the Nile River Valley.

USAgain Bins

If you find yourself wanting to donate clothes, shoes and other items, please consider using our USAgain donation bins. The RMS bins are located in the bus loop parking lot. The positives to using these bins are two-fold: for every bin that is full, USAgain plants 1 tree and two, some money gets raised for our RMS Environmental Club! See the picture below from the USAgain website for some ideas that you may consider donating!
