A Word From the Podium
I hope this email reaches you in good health and spirits despite the crazy things happening in the world right now.
As a small silver lining, this time has forced many of us - the Aubrey family included - to see things from different perspectives and extend more patients and grace than normal. So not all is bad, but certainly different.
That being said, we will set out on this 4th quarter journey and it will look different as well; but not necessarily bad! Please refer to the below 4th Quarter Course Guide for band. There you will find our ideas for making home-bound-band engaging, different, and fun!
One big unknown is "what do I do if I don't have my instrument and music that I left at school?" Over 90% of our students remembered to do this, but if you did not bring your instrument and music home, there are some parts of the instruction you will not be able to complete right away or at all, depending on if/when we are able to retrieve items from PSMS. We will handle this on a case-by-case basis and go from there.
I look forward to meeting with all the students virtually using Zoom on the first Monday or Tuesday of our regular class time; where we can reconnect and also explain our way forward this 4th quarter in band. 6th Grade Woodwinds / Brass - you have 2 zoom invitations but only go to the one for your instrument - Brass @ 10am, Woodwinds @ 1pm.
