WSD Adjusts Schedule Starting in the 2026-27 School Year
WSD leaders are taking a step toward the District’s top strategic priority — improving academic achievement — by adjusting school schedules for the next school year. At the district level, monthly Late Start Mondays will be replaced with monthly All-District Early Release Wednesdays. At the middle and high (secondary) school level, in addition to the monthly All-District Early Release Wednesdays, the District will introduce weekly Secondary Early Release Wednesdays on full school weeks.
With these schedule changes approved by the Board of Education at the January Board meeting, the 2026-27 Academic Calendar is expected to be presented at the February Board meeting.
2026 High School Summer School
This year, high school summer school offers both credit recovery and credit advancement opportunities. All credit advancement courses will be offered virtually. Credit recovery students may enroll in an entirely virtual option or elect to complete e-learning credit recovery courses in person with WSD e-learning teacher support. Learn more on the Summer School offerings webpage.
A massive thank you to the families who have already donated to our Annual Raffle! Because of your incredible generosity, we are officially on track to ensure every single teacher receives something special this year.
We are so grateful for your continued support in making our staff feel appreciated. We couldn't do it without you!
