COMMUNITY CLEAN UP

Huge shout out to the Environmental Club and the Expedition Club who combined forces on a recent fall afternoon for a river walk and clean-up along the banks of the Charles. Students collected multiple bags of trash and had a blast doing so.

QUIZ MASTERS

Watertown sent a squad of big brains to the High School Quiz Show competition at the GBH studios in Boston. Watertown narrowly missed the cut for the televised tournament but had its best showing in years. (Left to right: Prahlad Peri, Maximilian Bennett, Mr. MacLaughlin, Sidney Hackett, Edward Gukasyan)

HOOT-HOOT-WHO'S THERE?

The Expedition Club recently held its second annual Owl Prowl. Once again, no owls were found, but once again, students got a kick out of exploring a dark forest on a spooky fall evening

AP BIOLOGY TRIP

On Tuesday, December 5th, Ms. Usseglio and Ms. Kraemer accompanied AP Biology students to the Broad Discovery Center in Cambridge. They toured the center to learn about the Broad Institute's scientific research on various diseases, viruses, and infections including cancer, COVID-19, malaria, heart disease, and several rare diseases. Following the tour, students met with two scientists who work at the Broad to learn about their research, educational backgrounds, and daily work experiences. Thank you to Ms. Bloomer, Ms. Edwards, and Mr. Murphy for driving the group to and from Cambridge
