vs. Brookwood Recap [Senior Night & Homecoming] + Bye Week
October 14, 2025
A Message from Coach Pippen
Falcon Nation,
We are beyond excited to bring you this week’s edition of The Extra Point: Chasing Greatness, your inside look at Falcon Football. This week, as we enjoy our Bye Week, we reflect on a truly unforgettable night — Homecoming and Senior Night — where our Falcons delivered a resounding 56–14 victory over Brookwood. Even more special, this win officially secured our first playoff berth since 2018, marking a milestone moment in our program’s journey.
Our seniors were celebrated in style, and their leadership on and off the field set the tone for an incredible team performance. From explosive offensive plays to relentless defense, every snap, every tackle, and every touchdown contributed to a night that Falcon Nation will remember for years to come.
Our mission has not changed—staying connected, striving for greatness, and pushing ourselves to be better each week. Your support fuels our players to play harder, smarter, and with pride, and it was felt loud and clear during this historic Homecoming celebration.
Thank you for standing with us and cheering our Falcons on. Together, we soar higher, celebrate every achievement, and continue building a season — and a legacy — to remember.
With gratitude,
Coach Pippen

JV Falcons Finish Undefeated: A Season to Remember! 🧱
Our JV Falcons, led by Head Coach Odis Waller, Jr., have had an incredible season, finishing undefeated with a 5–0 record after last week’s hard-fought 14–7 victory over McAdory! 🧱
While the final game of the season at Brookwood, originally scheduled for today, Tuesday, October 14th, has been canceled, we could not be prouder of how our team represented Central this year — with heart, grit, and Falcon pride!
A huge thank you to Falcon Nation for your unwavering support all season long — your energy and pride kept our Falcons soaring every Monday!
Week 7 Recap 🧱
Falcons Soar High on Homecoming, Punch Playoff Ticket for First Time Since 2018!
It was a night to remember under the lights at Falcon Field — one filled with fireworks, pride, and purpose — as Central delivered its most complete and explosive performance of the season. The Falcons dominated Brookwood 56–14 in front of a roaring Homecoming crowd, improving to 6–2 overall and 3–2 in Class 6A, Region 4. More importantly, the victory officially punched Central’s ticket to the postseason for the first time in seven years — a defining milestone in the program’s resurgence.
From the opening whistle, the Falcons set the tone. The energy was different — sharper, hungrier, relentless. Junior quarterback Armani White was in full command, orchestrating a balanced offensive attack that left Brookwood’s defense reeling. White completed 6 of 12 passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns while adding 38 rushing yards on just three carries. His poise and precision helped Central score on seven of its first eight possessions, burying the Panthers before halftime.
Tra’Von Hall continued to be the spark plug of the Falcon offense, making big plays from anywhere on the field. The junior piled up 107 all-purpose yards — 4 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown, plus 44 rushing yards and another score on the ground. Hall’s versatility kept the chains moving and Brookwood guessing.
The ground game? Ruthless. Central’s rushing attack gashed Brookwood for 212 yards on just 13 carries — a staggering 16.3 yards per carry. Junior running back James Freeman led the charge, slicing through defenders for 101 yards on six carries (16.8 avg) and a 51-yard touchdown. Freeman also ignited the crowd with an electric 85-yard kickoff return touchdown, finishing with 186 all-purpose yards and two scores. Senior Zaivion Cade added 29 yards on two carries, including a 25-yard touchdown burst that broke the game wide open.
Senior Kannon Atkinson Eubanks made the most of his moment, hauling in a 40-yard touchdown bomb, while Camden Nickerson added two catches for eight yards and a score — showcasing the Falcons’ depth and chemistry. In total, Central racked up 327 yards of offense and seven touchdowns, turning every possession into a statement.
But this win wasn’t just about the offense — it was a full-team effort. Defensively, Central’s front seven and secondary played with a swagger that reflected everything this team has worked for. The Falcons piled up 99 total tackles, flying to the ball and punishing Brookwood’s attempts to gain momentum. Senior Jasiuah Rainer led the way with 8 tackles and a tackle for loss, while senior Javarski Lanier added 6 tackles, a TFL, and a clutch interception. Junior Jaden Taylor tallied 7 tackles and a sack, with key stops from seniors Josh Evans, Cor’nell Mack, Nicholas Witherspoon, and junior Au’taurus Richardson, each with 5 tackles.
Sophomore Demond Little came up big with an interception, and the play of the night came from sophomore TaQuarious Henderson, who scooped up a fumble and rumbled his way into the end zone for a defensive touchdown that sent the Homecoming crowd into a frenzy.
Brookwood finished with 225 total yards, led by sophomore quarterback Jamarcus Jackson (102 passing yards, 63 rushing, 2 TDs), but Central’s defense tightened the clamps whenever the Panthers threatened. Three forced turnovers and relentless pressure ensured Brookwood never had a chance to breathe.
On special teams, senior Graham Wolfe remained automatic — perfect on 8-of-8 PATs, continuing his reliable season.
The 56-point outburst was Central’s highest-scoring performance of the year and their fifth victory by 20 or more points, highlighting a growing confidence and killer instinct that’s become the team’s identity. A reminder that the Falcons are back.
With Homecoming celebrations in the books and playoff football officially on the horizon, Central now turns its focus to the regular-season finale. After a bye week, the Falcons will travel to Hueytown on October 24 looking to close the year strong, sharpen their edge, and carry this momentum into November — where the mission continues.
