There will be no CampFire or after-school supervision this Wednesday, October 29th to accommodate the space needed for conferences, so all students must be picked up at 1:50 pm.

Please be sure that you have DashPass set up for quick pickup! Our car line requires an active account to keep the process moving, so you will be rerouted to the front of the school if you do not have it set up. Please email Mr. Blake today with any questions or issues with setup.

Additionally, there will be no school on October 30th for conferences and no school on October 31st for fall break.

We'll see you on Wednesday or Thursday for your family's conference(s)!

Families are encouraged to stop by the book fair while at school for family conferences! A variety of books for all ages and other items will be available for purchase.

The book fair will be open for purchases during Family Conferences only, so please do not send money to school with your students.

We still need volunteers for the following times:

Wednesday 4-6 pm

Thursday 8-10 am

Thursday 12-2 pm

Thursday 2-4 pm

Please consider signing up for a 2-hour shift during conferences to help our book fair run smoothly!

This week is our Fall Spirit Week! Students do not need to wear uniforms this week if they participate in our spirit week celebration days.

A huge thank you to all of the families, board members, staff, and community partners who made our Fall Fun Fest such a joyful celebration! From sponsoring creative trunks for the Trunk or Treat to running games, serving food, and keeping the fun going all evening, your enthusiasm brought the event to life. We even had some of our alumni stop by to visit!

We also want to give a special shoutout to Lead to Read KC and CampFire for their generous donations of candy and time. We’re so grateful for this community that shows up, pitches in, and helps create wonderful memories for our students and families!

On Tuesday, November 4th, KC Care will be onsite at our Broadway campus for dental screenings. Students in all grades will receive a screening, which involves a brief check of students teeth and mouths with a dental mirror. Screenings will be held inside the school building and will be conducted by KC Care dental staff and UMKC dental students. You will receive communication from KC care if your child needs follow up care. If you DO NOT want your child to be screened, then you must send back an opt out form or contact Johanna Chambers, Director of Student Support at johanna.chambers@cwckansascity.org or 816-979-3591.
