Principal’s Corner: From Mr. Uridil’s Desk
Being a parent is hard work.
You are managing jobs, paying bills, handling life events, getting kids to school, making appointments, helping with homework, and keeping everything moving. Some days feel like a nonstop grind.
This month, I simply want to say: thank you.
Thank you for the early mornings.
Thank you for the long days.
Thank you for continuing to show up, even when you are tired.
I also want to encourage you to pause for a moment and think about all the good you are doing for your student. We often focus on what we didn’t do or what went wrong. But your effort matters more than you realize.
And don’t be afraid to share your story with your student.
Tell them about your work.
Tell them about your challenges.
Tell them how hard you are trying for them.
It may not always look like they care. Middle schoolers can seem distracted or uninterested. But deep down, they are listening. They need to hear about your life. They need to understand what it takes to support a family.
Your story makes an impact.
Keep sharing.
Keep showing up.
Keep going.
We appreciate you.

Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Kim Meyer
Mrs. Kim Meyer has been a committed educator since 2013. She began her teaching career in Katy, Texas, and later relocated to Colorado in 2018 after her oldest daughter graduated from high school. She was born in Brenham, Texas—proudly known as the home of Blue Bell Creameries—and she still visits Texas often to spend time with family and friends.
Mrs. Meyer has been married for 28 years and is the proud mother of two daughters. At home, she enjoys the company of her two pets: Molly, her Sphynx cat, and Sage, her Black Labrador. In her free time, she loves coloring, reading, baking cookies, working on puzzles, and spending time outdoors. She tried snowboarding once and absolutely loved it—and hopes to get back on the slopes again soon. She also enjoys traveling and especially looks forward to summer vacations in Hawaii.
At school, Mrs. Meyer teaches math, provides after-school tutorials, serves as Yearbook sponsor, and leads as a WEB Leader teacher, helping students build leadership skills and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for all. We are grateful for her positivity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our school community.
