A Message From Mr. Ladenburger
Halloween parties are on Friday, October 30. Each classroom will allow three designated parent Party Hosts. These parents should arrive at 1:45 p.m. for the event. Other parents who are not assigned as Party Hosts will not be invited to attend. Students can change into their costumes before the party, so please send a costume they can put on independently. Costumes should be school-appropriate, with no depictions of violence, and makeup, masks, and weapons are not allowed. Thank you for your support and understanding.
If your child is unable to participate in the Halloween activities, please let your homeroom teacher know. We are happy to plan alternative activities to ensure that all children enjoy the day!
Wildcats In Action
This week in Skills for Success, we celebrated Digital Citizenship Week! Students across grades 3–5 participated in activities focused on staying safe and making responsible choices online.
Third graders learned how to be responsible digital citizens and create strong passwords to protect their private information. Fourth graders explored making thoughtful media choices and the difference between personal and private information, including what is appropriate to share online. Fifth graders focused on finding a healthy balance between screen time and offline activities and learned how to recognize and avoid phishing scams in emails and text messages.
We’re proud of our students for building the skills they need to be safe, responsible, and confident digital citizens!
Military Wall of Honor
We are proud to announce the creation of a Military Wall of Honor to recognize and celebrate the brave individuals in our community who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces. To make this tribute truly special, we need your help. We invite you to submit a photo and brief details—including name, military branch, rank, and years of service—of your loved ones so we can proudly feature them on our wall. Please complete this form and upload a photo. Thank you for helping us pay tribute to their service and sacrifice!
Health Reminder: Increase in Illnesses
We are seeing an increase in illnesses among students. To help prevent the spread of illness, please remember to:
Keep your child home if they have a fever of 100°F or higher, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Ensure your child is fever-free and has not vomited or had diarrhea for at least 24 hours without medication before returning to school.
Encourage frequent handwashing, especially before eating and after using the restroom.
Remind your child to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow.
Attendance Reminder: Our school requires a doctor's note if your child is absent due to illness for more than 3 consecutive school days. Please submit the note by email or send it with your child when they return to school.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community healthy!
STEAM Needs Your Cardboard Tubes!
We are collecting cardboard tubes for upcoming hands-on engineering projects in STEAM. If you have any empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls, please send them to school with your child. Please note that we only need thin, standard cardboard rolls (no heavy-duty or thick mailing tubes). Thank you for helping support our hands-on learning!
Parent University Virtual Presentation—RULER Framework—Nov. 11
Mark your calendars for November 11 as we invite all parents and guardians to join us for our upcoming virtual Parent University: Connecting RULER Social-Emotional Learning from School to Home, presented by Fremont staff.
Across all grade levels, our classrooms have been actively embedding the RULER framework (developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence) into daily learning. During this virtual interactive session, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of our schoolwide RULER rollout and take home practical strategies to use the Mood Meter and Charter concepts within your family routine.
A Zoom link for the presentation will be shared with families closer to the date of the event.
Need an Interpreter for Parent-Teacher Conferences?
If you or your family require translation support during conferences, please let us know! Fill out our Parent-Teacher Conference Translation Request Form by November 2 so our Student Services department can schedule an interpreter for you.
