EVERY SCHOOL DAY COUNTS. “Did you know?” School attendance has a direct correlation to high school graduation rates. Students who eventually dropped out of high school missed significantly more days of school than their peers as early as kindergarten and first grade.

ParentVUE is a secure website and mobile app which offers parents/guardians real-time access to school messages, school calendar, attendance, grades, course history, name pronunciations and much more.

How to Activate ParentVUE

Portland Public Schools is transitioning from the Remind platform to ParentSquare to allow for easier, more efficient communication between the district, our schools, our teachers, and our students. Everyone should have been sent an activation link from PPS.

It's time to get excited for the Lewis Elementary Jog-a-thon! The PTA is funding a free t-shirt for every Lewis student. Today is the LAST day to complete this survey so your child gets the correct size t-shirt for the Lewis Jog-a-thon. Thank you in advance for your quick response!

Interested in joining the PTA? Here is the link to join online for $17.50 OR fill out a paper copy in the office and provide cash/check $15 (skip the $2.50 processing fee). Scholarships for membership are available, please email: lewiselementaryptaor@gmail.com if interested.

Looking for more ways to volunteer with PTA events? Please fill out this short survey. The PTA helps connect volunteers interested in being room parents with teachers. Currently, Ms. Aksay, Ms. Jamesbarry and Mr. Post's class all could use room parents. We are also looking for a Fundraising Chair this year. Could it be you?!

• FUNDRAISING CHAIR: Coordinates Lewis Dines Out events, plans supplemental fundraising opportunities and offers support to the Bottledrop, Jogathon and Auction chairs. This is a PTA board position. The board meets monthly prior to the PTA general meeting.

Last but not least, our first free popcorn Friday is coming up on Friday, September 19 right after school on the blacktop. We hope to see you there!
