College Courses in High School ?.. YES !
Students at Bay Port have the option to take college classes in high school through two programs:
Early College Credit Program (ECCP) - four year colleges
ECCP Application - Private schools (typically St. Norbert College - DO NOT fill out for Bellin)
Start College Now (SCN) - two year colleges
SCN Application (NWTC and FVTC)
These programs are ideal students who wish to take classes that Bay Port does NOT offer and meet the graduation requirements set forth by Bay Port High School. Classes can be at a college campus, online, or hybrid.
Interested students will need to fill out the ECCP or SCN application, submit the dual credit agreement form, and turn into the Student Services office by the October 1

SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener)
Attention Parents/Guardians:
During Pirate Time on October 7th, 9th and 10th graders will participate in the SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener). This optional screener will allow school staff to identify universal and targeted areas for growth focused on students being able to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships and make positive decisions. Results are confidential and will only be accessed by student services staff. The screener will ask students a total of 21 questions, and will take under 10 minutes to complete.
If you would like to opt your child out of the screening process please complete this form by September 30th. Please contact Bay Port School Psychologist, Jenna Kaker jennkake@hssdschools.org with any questions or for more information.
Meet our Youth Apprenticeship Coach
Hello! My name is Kristen Schiedermayer, and I am excited to join Bay Port High School as the new Youth Apprenticeship Coach. I look forward to working with students as they explore their interests, discover potential career paths, and begin thinking about their futures. I’m excited to help students connect their strengths and interests with meaningful work-based learning experiences while gaining valuable skills and confidence through Youth Apprenticeship.
My professional background is primarily in higher education, and for the past five years, I worked as a Career Counselor at St. Norbert College. I also have experience in Manufacturing/Engineering and Healthcare. Outside of work, I am married to my wonderful husband, Nick, and we have two sons, ages 1 and 3. We currently live in Ashwaubenon and I’m excited to learn more about the Howard-Suamico community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help in any way or if there are ways we can support each other.

These events are designed to be engaging, educational, and accessible for students at all stages of healthcare career exploration. We strongly encourage students to bring parents, guardians, siblings, friends, and mentors to share in these experiences.
Please feel free to distribute this information to students, families, and colleagues who may be interested. We ask that everyone register prior to attending so we have a better idea of how many people to accommodate. We look forward to welcoming your group to Bellin College this fall.
Best regards,
Chad Dall DHSc, RTR, MR
Giving Tree
The Giving Tree will be starting to register families for our December Holiday Store. Please reach out to your school social worker if you think your student may benefit from assistance with The Giving Tree. For our generous community, look for information in future district communications about donating to our Holiday Store and volunteering!
This month we are collecting canned soup. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure food is not a barrier to a student’s education.
