FULLER FAMILY NEWS
From the Principal's Desk
Fuller Families,
Thank you, Fuller Family, for making Trunk or Treat such a success! We had an incredible turnout and loved seeing our students and families enjoying the evening together. Your support means so much to our school community. We also had a blast watching our students shine during the Character Parade—what a great celebration of creativity.
As we welcome the month of November, we are proud to recognize Native American Heritage Month. This month reminds us of the rich histories, diverse cultures, and lasting contributions of Native American and Indigenous communities. It is a valuable opportunity for us to learn, honor, and celebrate the first peoples of our nation, and to help our students build understanding and respect for all cultures.
This Friday our Kinder students will enjoy their fall trip to the Pumpkin Patch, and it is also our 60th day of school—let’s dress the part and celebrate 60 days of learning and growing together.
A big congratulations to our Pumpkin Parade winners! We were blown away by the creativity and imagination that brought each pumpkin to life.
Also, congrats to our Fuller BETA Club! They competed this week at the regional competition, and ALL 4 groups that entered advanced past the state level to NATIONALS! BETA Blitz, Collaboration Connection, Being Better BETAs, and Project Proposal are all NATIONAL QUALIFIERS! We were also recognized as an Outstanding Leadership School! Way to represent Fuller! They will be going to Nasville, TN in June to compete! Way to go kids and sponsors!
Looking ahead—next Tuesday is our Veteran's Day Assembly. We would be honored to celebrate the veterans in your family. If you or someone in your family has served, we hope you can join us for this special event. Please also complete the form below so we can recognize your loved ones on our Fuller Wall of Honor.
Thank you for helping make Fuller such a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
Remember, We are Fuller—we are Family!
Thank you,
Nathan Smith

Teacher Feature
This week, we spotlight one of our incredible 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Kristen Gomez!
Mrs. Gomez is dedicated to ensuring every student succeeds, and it shows in her daily commitment, encouragement, and communication with families. She consistently goes above and beyond to celebrate student growth and build strong home–school connections through Talking Points. Recently, she shared a joyful message with a parent (This is one of many):
"(Student) got 91% on her math test today! I am so proud of her! She is a delight to have in class. Thank you for sharing her with me!!"
Messages like this reflect the heart she puts into her classroom and her belief in every student’s potential.
Mrs. Gomez is also one of our sponsors for Jr. BETA club and all of our kids that competed this week advanced to Nationals!
Thank you, Mrs. Gomez, for your hard work, positivity, and dedication to our Chaps! We are so proud of you and grateful to have you on the Fuller team. Keep shining!
Way to go, Mrs. Gomez!

Pre-K Self Assessment
The program self-assessment presents rubrics that outline indicators for three levels of quality for each strategy within each quality component. We will utilize the results from the tool to create a continuous improvement plan. There is a strategy in “Access/Enrollment” that addresses 3-year-old prekindergarten programs. The rest of the self- assessment specifically addresses 4-year-old prekindergarten programs.
In an effort to provide transparency and opportunities for success and growth, Fuller Elementary has published the results of the Beginning of the Year Pre-K Program Self Assessment to families. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at n.smith@aubreyisd.net.
Fuller Elementary Family Engagement Plan
As a Title I school, Fuller Elementary is required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to have a Family Engagement Plan. This plan outlines how we partner with families to support student success through communication, learning at home, and shared decision-making. It ensures parents have a voice in school activities, access to resources, and opportunities to be active partners in their child’s education. Our goal is to strengthen the home–school connection so every Chaparral can thrive!

Attendance
Please remember our campus goal is a 95% attendance rate. We want to see every child, every day.
Absences and excuse notifications should be sent to sharrison@aubreyisd.net OR alaster@aubreyisd.net
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
For attendance questions:
