Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,

This week, we had three awesome days of the spring musical Shrek Jr.! Our actors are so talented and entertaining, with incredible timing and some truly amazing voices. This event is a huge point of pride for our school, nestled within the larger, vibrant performing arts scene on Cape Cod. Beyond the fun and laughter, their show delivered an important message about embracing individuality, challenging expectations, and understanding the true meaning of love and friendship. It reminds us that people should be judged by their actions and character, not by appearances, a message we strive to celebrate every day in our school community. A huge thank you to everyone involved for all your hard work in making this show such a success!

In partnership,

Abby Dudley

Transportation Update: Starting March 31, the first phase of road work for the placement of sewers will begin on Route 39 in East Harwich. Our Transportation Coordinator is in frequent contact with the construction team in order to minimize disruptions to school bus routes. Moving forward, if there are any specific changes to bus stops or routes, our Transportation Coordinator will contact those families directly. It is recommended that anyone traveling in this area allow for extra time, as through traffic will be detoured while the road work is underway.

Supervision at Student Events: We love seeing our students participate in and enjoy after-school and evening events such as sporting games and most recently the Spring Musical. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we ask that if your child is attending an event without a parent or guardian, they are able to meet the expectations of the event without additional supervision. This includes following event guidelines, and staying in designated areas. Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, and we appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your child.
