Arrival/Dismissal Procedure Reminders

  • School starts at 8:30am. Only students who are registered for Surround Care may enter the building before 8:15am.

  • All morning and afternoon dropoff and pick-up will happen through the front lobby doors. You will see an auto lane and bus lane painted in the driveway. Please remain in your car for both drop off and pick up.

  • During drop off in the mornings, please pull ALL THE WAY up towards the staff member on the corner. This allows for many cars to unload at the same time.

  • The drivers will park along the sidewalk near the building. It is important that all drivers and passengers remain in their cars. A staff member will ask who you are picking up and will call students via a radio from the cafeteria where they are waiting. When all cars have stopped, the staff members will signal children to move toward their cars. Children will board on the passenger side of the car to avoid walking between parked cars. Watch for directions from the teachers on duty as to when to proceed. Please do not go around parked cars unless directed by a staff member to do so. Under no circumstances should anyone park in the middle of the pick-up area.

  • Please be aware that buses may be loading/unloading at the same time. A staff member will signal when it is safe for you to pass the bus. Under no circumstances should you pass the bus when the lights are flashing.

Grade 3 Wax Museum

Get ready to step back in time! Third graders came home last week with info packets to start their Wax Museum Biography projects. Each third grader selects a historical person born in Massachusetts and/or important to Massachusetts history. They research their person, fill in a poster with their facts, and plan to dress up as their person at the wax museums. Class wax museums will take place the week of April 24th. Parents/Guardians are welcome to join us on their child's wax museum day as history comes alive!

Grade 3 Morning Broadcasters!

Our third grade students have been volunteering to run our morning announcement routine! Starting after February break, a third grader comes down each day, Tuesday through Friday and greets the school, does the Pledge of Allegiance, announces student birthdays and reports any important information. We are lucky to have such confident and helpful students!

Our Students are Becoming Published Authors!

Gr. 1 students are partaking in a special writing activity that will be published in a classroom-created book by Studentreasures Publishing. Your child will have his/her own pages in the class book; one with his/her writing and the other with his/her illustration. The other pages will showcase their classmates' work. Book purchases are optional. Pre-order forms are being sent home today. Orders and payments are due by Friday, March 31st with the option to purchase the standard softcover book or upgrade to a hardcover book. You can also order online with a credit card. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or Mrs. Enos at jenos@wbridgewater.com.

SEL COMMITTEE NEWS (SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING COMMITTEE)

Michaela and Max are among a few students who have worked hard to earn and save 100 paw points to purchase a special treat at a favorite local spot - Tom and Jimmy's! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! But we are cheering even louder for Michaela, Max and their schoolmates for making responsible decisions, taking responsibility for their actions and work in school, and showing wildcat pride. No wonder they has earned many "pawsitivy points" in our school-wide positive behavior program!
