WCES Carpool Reminders WCES Carpool Reminders

Carline Guidance

We want to take a moment to thank everyone for helping keep our carpool line running as smoothly and safely as possible. As a quick reminder, we need everyone's continued cooperation to ensure fairness and compliance with traffic and community rules.

  • Please do not make U-turns on Wilson Road near the second entrance in an attempt to bypass the carpool line. This is not only dangerous but also illegal and puts others at risk.

  • Parking in the St. Ives neighborhood is not permitted unless you are a resident. Using this area to park and walk your child to school is a violation of the HOA's rules. We kindly ask that all families respect the community guidelines.

We encourage all families to review their carpool agreement to make sure they are familiar with the expectations and procedures in place. To help avoid longer wait times, consider arriving during the earlier window between 7:10 AM and 7:25 AM, when traffic is significantly lighter. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to keep the carline safe, efficient, and fair for everyone.

WCES Staffing Updates WCES Staffing Updates

Exciting Staffing Updates!

We’re thrilled to share some important staffing news as we continue to grow and prioritize the needs of our students.

Supporting Student Success

To better support our learners, we’re adding additional staff members to help reduce the student-teacher ratio. This means more individualized attention and increased support in the classroom—a win for both students and teachers!

Ms. Jennifer Lott, 2nd Grade:

We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! On Friday, we welcomed a new second grade teacher, Ms. Jennifer Lott, to our WCES school community. Ms. Lott brings a wealth of experience and expertise in both classroom teaching and instructional coaching, and we are thrilled to have her join our team.

Ms. Lott holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, a Master’s of Education from Kennesaw State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education from Clayton State University. She is certified in Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Math, Special Education, ESOL, Gifted Education, and Instructional Coaching.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lott has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement and teacher development. She has served as a professional development facilitator, lead mentor, and instructional coach, collaborating with school leaders and teacher teams to analyze data, plan differentiated instruction, and implement strategies that support academic growth. Her classroom experience includes co-teaching, small group interventions, and creating inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments.

To maximize instruction and reduce class sizes, we will be opening Ms. Lott’s classroom beginning Monday, October 20th. At this time, we are seeking volunteers who would like their child to transition into her classroom. No reason is needed to volunteer—just a willingness to support this exciting opportunity. If you are interested in volunteering for your child to move into Ms. Lott’s class, please contact Kim Cerasoli at cerasolik@fultonschools.org by Monday, October 6th.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.

ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE – Building Strong Routines
Every Day Adds Up As fall activities begin, it’s easy to let a day or two slip by—but each absence matters. Keep attendance strong to build momentum for the rest of the year. Students who miss 2–4 days in the first quarter are 5 times more likely to be chronically absent by year’s end. The late bell rings at 7:40am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.

Stay tuned for more details, including volunteer opportunities and exciting highlights from the fair. Thank you for your support in making this event a success!
